Hmm, I'm not really sure. I hadn't thought of anything in particular, just something a little less run-of-the-mill. Here's one animated video that I like a lot as an example of some more stylized animation (though this style wouldn't work at all for the concept of that Pearl Jam video):

I realize these are all very minimal in the color department. I'm by no means anti-color or anything, these just happened to be the three that I came up with.

I don't even know.

But I have a feeling I do know what you mean about the animation of the Pearl Jam video being a bit more fitting.
