I think it is good.

I guess it depends on the person. Oldsters like me tend to lean toward the older music which was much more challenging to record since they didn't have the gadgets that can make anything sound like a symphony. Having said that, it boils down to the songwriting really, and some great music is still being recorded. In fact in some ways it may be better than, say, the 1990s, since corporations can't make big money off recorded music these days, which gives the artist more freedom to record their vision.

My take is that there are indeed artists who aren't putting their all into their work, and are products of taste-making industry people. That being said, I don't see why this work can't be appreciated in itself, taste is a very subjective thing and I end up liking lots of albums by popular artists who might be seen as entry level music to some for example.

I'll check that dictionary, but in the meantime I'm impressed - as is everyone else in the world - by your eloquence, obvious accomplishments and success, and the evidence of your blazingly high intelligence.

No worries. It's not uncommon for someone to start a thread then get screamed at for not posting on the same thread that has been dormant since 2003.

I listen to whatever music that makes me happy whether it’s music from the old days or mainstream/modern music.
