Lift Yr. Skinny Fists? Come on, you're killing me!

Nah but seriously, other than that and the first two you posted, I haven't listened to the others at all. They sound pretty interesting, so i have some work to do.

Lift Yr. Skinny Fists took a while for me to fully appreciate but now it's in my top 10. Brilliant album, and definitely moving as you said.

I have a very "Impress me or GTFO" attitude when it comes to music.

EDIT: the next entry's gonna be sad.... :C

Good thread off to a good start. I really like those Animal Collective, Autechre, Maserati, and Flying Lotus albums. Haven't heard of Kona Triangle but it seems like something I would like (even though I find Lone to be not very original, what I've heard of his is pretty run-of-the-mill for the genre). I've listened to that GY!BE album once but haven't gone back for a second listen. Actually I may have only played the first disc. I'm just rarely in the mood for something that slow.

Oh and regarding the Maserati comment, I've never thought of U2 while listening to it. Pink Floyd, yes. There is a lot of PF influence on this album.

Keep it up, looking forward to some good suggestions here.

I'd love to see your signature/links too, but the huge and obnoxious ones have caused me to block all signatures.

#44: Sigur Ros: Agaetis Byrjun

What is with these guys and making their music so depressing? like, really? Just the backwards intro gets me down. Jonsi's beautiful falsetto voice isn't helping how depressing this album is, either. oh well, that's a small price to pay for such a great album. I mean, have you ever listened to this album in it's entirety? it's F***ing beautiful! but, I have one question, What's with this band and babies? They have a baby on Von, and I think that's a baby on Agaetis. Babies FTW. Also, you might be asking why this album isn't higher. well, it isn't higher because... (puts flame shield on) I liked Von better.

oh, Kona Triangle is more original than Lone (I just listened to one of his songs)

and About Maserati, they've been compared several times to an instrumental U2 after a while, they finally just said "we compare ourselves to an instrumental U2". It shuts up the media for a bit.

Well I will listen with new ears next time. Found out earlier they have a new album out in November, Pyramid of the Sun. No announcement on Temporary Residence's site though, the label the last one was on.

#43: !!!: Myth Takes

Let's face it, Nic Offer sucks really bad at singing. But, vocals never really got in the way of the music experience, for me. A lot of people put down this Funk-Punk gem just because of the vocalist, shallow, right? this is a really underrated album. the track Heart of Hearts features trippy, psychedelic guitars and a danceable beat (Almost every track here is danceable, by the way.) that is quite fun. The song All Of My Heroes Are Weirdos is one of my favorite all time songs. If you didn't move at least one part of your body when listening to this than you have serious problem.

#42: NEU!: NEU! 2

Lyrical Genius right here^. Here is an excerpt from Lila Engel:
de de dat de dat ohhhh de de dat de dat deeeu de de dat de dat deeeu de de dat de dat oooh de de dat de dat deeeeu oh! HEY! Ad Infinitum.
Lyrical jokes aside, this is a really respectable album. Hey, who knew that they had MS paint back in the day?
