There are an embarrassing amount of people here that are likely to misinterpret the above bullet.

That is one thing I've learned from Musicbanter that isn't music related, everyone is attention seeking, and almost always does no one like to give praise where it is due simply because everyone here wants that praise. Which is sad really..

Oh come on... I obviously find out about new music. But that's to be expected. Why would I sit here and waste time making a post that absolutely everyone else here knows by default?

I like this place. I get something out of it. But I don't have to explain that to you if you're looking for some kind of validation for me being here. You do you, and I'll do me. That's about as much as you really need to know.

Music Banter has taught me that there are far more miserable, pretentious douchenozzles out there than I'd ever previously imagined.

However, aforementioned miserable, pretentious douchenozzles are pretty good at giving music recommendations and getting me into subgenres I never would've considered on my own.

Well I don't think MB really taught me anything in particular. It mainly helped me break out of my shell and delve into other genres. Not many people here are into club oriented electronic music, so at first I felt awkward. But now my tastes are far weirder and now it takes 10x as long to find new music.
