I love Echo and the Bunnymen, but that song was just alright, I guess. Regular sounding, slightly post-punked rock. At like 1:40 there was a cool melody. Otherwise repetitive. 6/10

@Mondtastic Oh look, a Marc Ribot track. Oh look, it's incredible. Interestingly enough though, Ribbit doesn't quite steal the show on this one like he usually does. It's been too long since I've listened to that album, I think I'll have to change that. 10/10

@ Frownland

I was completely captivated by that video, but it was those instruments that had me glued to it, listening close as I've never seen, or heard those instruments in my entire life. I thoroughly enjoyed that, I'll be looking Gunther's Grass up. Not music for your average listener. 10/10

Oh, that is really not my thing. Sorry. Before I even clicked on it I was filled with dread because the album cover personifies it so well. The guy's voice is just so irritating, and not because it's different. It just sounds so generic, like I swear I have heard this song 1000 times already.

That track is super cute. The instrumental/production is maybe a little too on the twee side for me. I'd like more guitar or electronics thrown in there to lift it up (think TV Girl). Nice lyrics, but I rarely get invested after one track. Probably fits better into the full album. Good song though. 6.5/10

It's a decent track for what it is but it's really not my thing. The only thing I can appreciate about it is the vocals. 3/10

Thumbs up. This is the kinda rap I grew up on, but I don't actually know this guy. Good stuff, 8/10.

--Okay, so my track is a bit long but it's based on a true story some of you may remember.

Dude is better than so much of the Rap artists people are praising these days. I'd listen to it again. 7/10

So, my next choice is one from my library of music, this band is pretty well known, and influential. Weezer draws some heavy influence from these guys, but hardly pulls it off as well. This is one of my favorite groups, and this song is from one of the best albums of the 90's. So glad Failure is back and making another album!
