what bands do you find boring?

I disagree, although I know what you are trying to say. If you take someone who has listened to fast paced metal their whole life, sit them down, and play something pretty mellow like Pink Floyd, I wouldn't be suprised if they find it boring.

Listening to this relaxes you because it gets you bored as ****.

I find RATM boring in the sense that I find Metallica boring. Once you've heard one song, you've heard their discography.

Both bands have some very diverse offerings--I don't know where you are getting this idea from...

The only bands I want to claim as boring are ones that I have given a fair chance.

I listened to Merriweather Post Pavilion three times through and generally found it quite boring. Most of the songs were more than four minutes long and the instrumentation (or whatever you want to call it) was extremely repetitive and just doesn't really compare to most of the music I listen to. So I guess I'll call Animal Collective boring, but I've only ever listened to that one album.

I've also heard enough John Mayer and DMB via my friends to call that **** boring too. That stuff has it's appeal to some people, but I'm better off without it...
