yes, but in my head I always say "sun OOOOOOH!!!!!", without fail.

Yeah that is the pronunciation. I only know this through watching the krautrock doc that was on the BBC a while back (and awesome it was too).

I used not to be able to pronounce Gorky's Zygotic Mynci (the last bit), and I'm still not certain I say it right.

I did say it "Mince-ee", but my papaw was Welsh and told me it was just pronounced like "Monkey".

Still not completely clear on that one.

That's how they intended it; I think I read that somewhere once.

But as people have already stated, it's way more fun to just drone the hell out of that O))) in real life.

SUNN OOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOO))).... etc.

I watched this the other week. I highly recommend seeing that if you're even remotely interested in the genre. It made me like Faust even MORE! Shame they never mentioned Mooney of Can, though.
