I can when The Melvins and Bowie are both in my top 5 artists of all time!

I got into Skinny Puppy because a friend let me borrow the album Last Rights, I went home and put it on while I lay in my bed in the dark, and I HALLUCINATED! I had never even done drugs or been drunk at that point in my life. No music had ever done that to me before. It was the start of a long love affair that eventually did involve drugs - a match made in heaven.

I'd love to see your signature/links too, but the huge and obnoxious ones have caused me to block all signatures.

I am pretty certain that it was my brothers who influenced my early love for punk rock. I grew up with them jamming the Sublime, NOFX, Leftover Crack and Rancid. I don't think I'll be growing out of that any time soon either hah..

The Specials - April, 1980, SNL when the original line-up was fading away, but still having great music.

The Jam - 1980, on the always crap SNL wanna-be Fridays. Still, the show had some great music.

I got into Boards Of Canada by accident.
I was using a laptop and I accidentally clicked the youtube link to Dayvan Cowboy.
and I've been changed on a profound level, and I would hate to see what I would be like if I never heard of them. I would probably be still listening to Tegan and Sara and Hot Hot Heat..... ew.

I got into The Cure because one of my friends kept playing 'Just Like Heaven' and 'Boys Don't Cry' to me in school one day, and then i had a weird dream one night that i went into a record shop and bought their Greatest Hits. I took this as a sign and did exactly that the following day. I've never looked back.
