I don't. Or try not to whenever possible. Problem is he thinks he's the authority on just about everything.

Anyways, some more instances I thought of

Friend (about a month back): Who's Lady Gaga?

--------------------------------------------------------------------------

And for the rest of the post, I have en entire freaking conversation to post.

Aquantance1: The greatest rapper of all time is Lil' Wayne (this is a guy who talks about N.W.A, Pac, Biggie, Wu-Tang etc. etc. so it's not like he doesn't know hip-hop)

*in that same conversation*

Aquantance2: Eminem is like, the only white rapper
Me: You're joking right? Beastie Boys?
Aquantance1: ARN'T THEY JEWISH? (as if you can't be white and Jewish)
*later*
Me: Have you heard of Spose
Them: No, but I'm sure he sucks.
Me: The "I'm Awesome" guy?
Them: That song sucks
Me: It's like, his worst song. Trust me. No one who actually knows his music says it's his best song. Look up "God Damn"
Them: No, that sounds like a really, really bad song
Me: You guys are honestly dissing a song for a name?

Then again, I said some really stupid stuff too. You know, stuff I wouldn't of said, had I been in my right mind. I can't keep dissing these guys without a stupid saying from myself, so here does nothing.

Aquantance1: Kanye West had one good album: Graduation

Now here's what I meant to say: Doesn't he have like ten albums? If I listened to say, three or four and there was only one good one, I'd stop there.

Here's what came out: Then why do you have all the others?
--------------------------------------------------------------------------

And also, like, a year ago,

"So, you're into Progressive stuff."
"Yeah."
"I just heard this COOL new band called Coldplay! What do you think of them?" (this was back when there latest album was getting play, no further)
"Yeah,"
"Oh well, have you heard of this band called the Fray?"
"Of course. They get played constantly" (this was back when "You Found Me" actually was played constantly).
"Do you like them."
"They're okay. A bit too mainstream sounding to me."
"Oh, well, they sound really progressive to me. I guess I don't know anything."
--------------------------------------------------------------------------

I have so much more $hit to post, but I feel like I'm being overbearing, so I'm just gonna stop here.

Well you don't listen to any crap so that's at least one area where he's got you beat.

"Sounds so much better on vinyl"

No it doesn't. You're saying that to sound hip. Tracks on vinyl are a completely different form of listening to music and while I LOVE listening to music on vinyl and regularly buy albums I already own on vinyl it DOES NOT SOUND BETTER.

I disagree. Listening to something on vinyl sounds way better to my ears. Everything about it, crackling and popping and all its flaws sound far less digital to me. Call it elitism but if I could get rid of all other forms of listening to music I would.

Really? I love listening to vinyl, it makes music much more of an experience, but the convenience of iPods and CDs is just too good. Both kinds of listening are good for different times, imo. Though I do like the sound of vinyl more.
