Dayvan hasn't acknowledged the album I sent her a couple of days back

For Dankstra and Bob:

Demdike Stare- Liberation Through Hearing.
A deep step into droney waters populated by shades reeking of electronic psychedelia and dripping with dark tendrils of moss covered reverberations of stagnant water.

It's the best description I can come up with!

CanwllCorfe sent me this:

Arovane - Lilies

I really enjoyed it. It's a very short album and just flies so easily. Well, it helps that the music is very chilled, ambient electronica that evokes some kind of journey, especially in tracks 'Ten Hours' and 'Passage To Nagoya'. I especially loved those moody tracks like 'Tokyo Ghost Stories' and 'Pink Lilies'. What strikes me the most here is how warm this music is, almost organic and that is especially evident on the title track 'Lilies'. Who said cold electronic music can't produce some of the warmest and very organic sounds?! Thanks CanwllCorfe for this

for Jackhammer:

Gavin Bryars, Philip Jeck, Alter Ego - The Sinking Of The Titanic

this is a re-recording of a piece of modern classical music by Gavin Bryars.....originally released in 1969....it is very moving as you might have immagined....but this includes experimental turn tableist Philip Jeck and the Italian ensemble Alter Ego....

enjoy

Can someone please send me something?

I think that my musical tastes are not very broad.

For rammetal7-

Agalloch - The Mantle

Perusing your LastFM, I see that your taste is pretty firmly rooted in metal and hard rock. Rather than throw you something way out of left field, I figured I'd recommend something you've shown a good predisposition to enjoying.

Agalloch is an atmospheric black metal band that's fond of using traditional instruments and natural, ambient sounds to accentuate their guitar and drum work. They have some folk-y and drone-y characteristics that make their music a real treat to listen to.

i feel like this band really needs to be heard by more people....my description of them goes like this.....

Ian Curtis and the boys build a time machine and travel back in time to get some great Fender fuzz boxes and some new chic Moog gear....then they rocket through time and space to the year 2025....plug in and record an album....this would probably be what that would sound like

enjoy
Thank you again, this definitely is something quite different then I usually listen to, but I still look forward to it. In return I will send you this.

I Would Set Myself On Fire For You- Believes In Patterns

I feel everyone should hear this album and what great screamo truly sounds like, it's got male/female vocal exchanges, it goes perfectly from chaotic to calm they even include strings (viola and cello).

EDIT: bob I wasn't sure I'd enjoy this, but I did. It reminds me of Editors and post-punk revival bands like that, I never really listened to Joy Division or any of that New Wave stuff, but this seems much more modern, which I enjoy. Then I saw this album was from 15 years ago and was even more impressed. So thank you!
