I'm especially wary about hip-hop / rap artists on the main stage after the Kanye West debacle.
What was the Kanye West debacle?

Kanye was scheduled to play late night, I believe, and the event organizers tried to get him to go on early, before the sun had actually set.

Kanye threw a fit because his light show was dependent on its being dark, and blah blah blah. He refused to go on until it was dark, and screwed up the schedule. He was then booed profusely by attendees.

Also, the crowd that came along with Kanye clashed with a lot of the people who'd been coming for years. The same thing happened with the attendees when Tool were there, but I love Tool and didn't really gripe too much.

Oh, Tool didn't get booed. Before Bonnaroo, a lot of people bitched about Tool being in the lineup, because that was the first year they REALLY went in a different direction with the lineup, but ultimately, Tool was accepted by attendees.

Tool will be discovered by the critics in 2045 or so. They should be on every festival.
They do get a lot of credit within the scene, but they're more brilliant than that .

Considering how much they care about sound quality, I think it's pretty brilliant they play on festivals (with limited sound checs and the same rig for every band) alltogether.

Believe me. They get the sound right for everybody on an individual basis at Bonnaroo.

This doesn't look like the strongest line up ever but I'm still trying to go.

Opeth, Primus, and Arcade Fire is enough for me to go.

You couldn't pay me to go. You mean I get to spend 3 days in a desert with people from California? I'd rather paint my house.
