if it's jazz, I would form the Quartet of Doom with Jaco, McLaughlin and Tony Williams

I would have love to have known Kurt Cobain so closely.... Maybe I could have convinced him not to kill him self.

Assuming you're not too drugged up.

Terence Hill, as recently confirmed during an interview to an Italian TV talk-show, was offered the role but rejected it because he considered it "too violent". Dustin Hoffman and John Travolta declined the role for the same reason. When Al Pacino was considered for the role of John Rambo, he turned it down when his request that Rambo be more of a madman was rejected.
Al Pacino = God

Another one that came to mind if I wanted to go all jazz: The Buddy Rich Big Band in the late 60s and early 70s. I would kill, maim and pillage to be in a rhythm section with one of the world's greatest drummers, Buddy Rich.

As could probably be inferred by my love for the band, in addition to The Talking Heads, I think it would also be awesome to play with Phish.

Granted, I doubt I could ever be instrumentally proficient enough to REALLY play with them, but I'd still do something. Like, maybe be the person who brings out the trampolines during live versions of "You Enjoy Myself".

Without a doubt would have traded in my guitar for a bass and joined up with Hendrix.

I think I would have enjoyed being in Pink Floyd for the recording of Pompeii

Definitely a Beatle. Except I would have been the first to quit because I rejected the idea of finding enlightenment in India and instead hung with Warhol and the Velvet Underground in New York City, while being disillusioned with San Francisco and being at Woodstock, but I would've played some harsh, fast proto-punk after deceiving the promoters and telling them I would play peace love and harmony stuff. I would have then quit during the White Album sessions and formed my own band.
