You know that Kurt spray painted "God is gay" onto the side of a bank and I know that Kurt spray painted "God is gay" onto the side of a bank but I don't think The Virgin does. Its just a catch all for stereotypical 1990s teenage boy music.

I seriously cannot imagine a life without music. SOme of my first memories are of songs I listened to as a kid- including the first song I ever remember hearing, Blue Monday by New Order. I grew up buying CD singles with my pocket money from Woolworths each week.

I'd likely be dead too, if I didn't myself play music (bass guitar). It helped me when I was feeling so lonely and miserable I wanted to kill myself- my bass wasn't going to insult or hurt me, it could be a channel for my frustrations.

I do not want to find out, that is for sure! Music has been a big part of my life since I was born. My dad plays the guitar, parents put me in piano lessons at a young age, was in band in middle and high school. Then listening to music has always been big for me. I listen to just about every kind, listen at work, in the car, while doing homework, while out with friends, while working out...so pretty much all the time! Lets just say I would be more than lost without music!

So did I. And then I discovered that Nirvana was better music.
I didn't go from gay to straight, I just got a better taste in music .

I don't know if I'd go as far to say that I'd be a 'different' person without music. However, perhaps I'm interpreting this too literally, lol (i.e, a different personality, interests, life course, etc).

I most definitely associate certain phases of my life with different artists, though. And of course a particular song can bring a flood of memories back. Same with songs that I remember speaking exactly what I was feeling at the time. So...if I can say anything at all with absolutely certainty, it's that I simply wouldn't want to imagine my life without music.

I'd be a boring vegetable without music.

Music certainly made me choose certain locations/friends. The 'alternative' scene, if you know what I mean. So different music definitely would have changed the way my life would have worked out.

I went through musical periods too. Altough I have the feeling that I'm now adding music to my taste, not changing my preferences
