Default Anybody else pick up Rush's Clockwork Angles today?

After just a few spins today, my initial reaction is that it is living up to the hype, which was higher for this album than any recent Rush album that I can remember. Great listen all the way through.

I've had it for a while now. It's a great album, probably their best in close to 20 years or so. Very impressed by the music moreso than the lyrics, but the lyrics are just basically cliff notes to the novel, so it's all good. I just wish it was a little less "produced" but it's not bad. I'm waiting for them to do the album in concert - I think it'd be really good.

Right there with you. I'm seeing them in Atlanta and Charlotte and I'm hoping they will play the album in its entirety. I'm also looking forward to the book, which I think is due out in September. To me, a book is a much better way to tie together the loose ends of a concept album, as I've never been a big fan of albums that are turned into movies... see The Who's Tommy.
