I guess the analogy would be not so much that MusicBanter is Harvard, but incredulity of a student of music not knowing 10cc is equal to incredulity of a Havard Student not knowing that Benjamin Franklin trekked on foot from Philadelphia to Boston to visit he brother.

Do you know and listen to every band? Surely there must be bands not even you have heard.

It’s perfectly reasonable to think that there are some people -
especially these days - who wouldn’t know who 10cc were.

I'm Not In Love was featured in the Guardians of the Galaxy soundtrack so I imagine a lot of younger people will discover them through that movie.

Same thing happened to Yes because of Roundabout being used in the JoJo anime.

I'd agree with that. They were fairly popular in the seventies but they didn't have the staying power of, say, Elton John or Stevie Wonder or even ELO.

As someone who used to watch Adult Swim religiously my introduction to 10cc was Rubber Bullets being used as the intro music for the Superjail! pilot.

No offense to 10cc, but Cheeseburger's - Coming Home was the right call.
