Haha I remember Electric Avenue, The Sign, and those Smash Mouth songs you guys mentioned. Drops of Jupiter is great too and when I think of Train I remember that song and Meet Virginia... I try to forget the newer stuff they've released that I really don't like, lol.

Heard this on the radio this morning & I don't think anyone mentioned it..

Also does anyone know his other songs he had success without outside the US?

Eddy Grant - Electric Avenue - YouTube
Eddy Grant was regarded as a singles guy in the States but I always loved his albums. I wanna Dance was probably a bigger hit in the UK then Electric Ave, and rightfully so.

Oh man I loved the album also. Definitely one of those college radio friendly bands like REM.

Oh hey man I know, but that was not the intent of this thread LOL, that's why I was thinking to make the other thread. IF I had known that in advance then I would have made THIS thread that way.

And again the two -hit wonder strikes, I had forgotten about 'Meet Virgina'. Great catch!

too be honest....i was not as taken back by their other releases.....not bad....but not as good as Cerulean

These two have gotten multiple mentions and I love these songs...I like to post links to those hard to find video clips of the artist....

*This version of Big Country is part of some kind of 'short film' called Bad Taste, actually done by PETER JACKSON...some of it is kind of graphic, well you know for 1980s, and not very good, but I thought it was interesting enough to show

I am sure this is a cover, but KWS was the most popular for it right?

and we gotta have Haddaway

What Is Love - Haddaway (HQ Audio) - YouTube

If these are not one-hit wonders let me know.

*now I'm waiting on one of you, most likely screen13 or Kelli to tell me these aren't one-hit wonders...I swear you guys know too much about music
