Music is the main dish; lyrics are the side

Honestly, I would only be bothered by them if they were delivered in a way that didn't appeal to me.

For example, if Lil B was saying racist shit, I would be extra put off by the lyrics. But if Aesop Rock was doing it, I'd be like "I disagree, but man, you can rap your ass of".

Ice Cube - Cave Bitch
Eminem - Foolish Pride

I like Cave Bitch, not so much Foolish Pride but that's cos Eminem was crap and a nobody then. If he released a track during 2000-2003 saying the same I'd probably bop my head to it.

Now if you want to talk about the lyrics in some songs, yeah I have some issues with lyrics in songs, like one or two SOAD songs from Mezmerize and Hypnotize, also some early Eminem songs from the Marshall Mather LP, but other than that, no I don't tend to notice the lyrics or the message much at all.
Ever heard of a hypothetical? Jeez.

I for example avoid the whole Oi! Punk subgenre like the plague cause I find that sort of thing disgusting.
But with other art forms I'm the opposite because y'know Death of an Author and all. I love Roman Polanski and Woody Allen despite allegations they're both revolting human beings.
