Cover Songs You'd Like To Hear

I really, honestly thought this was a thread already, thought I saw it one time, but searched thread titles for "cover songs" and "covers" and nothing like it came up.

I personally always thought a Pantera cover of "Wrathchild" by Iron Maiden would be awesome, like Cowboys era. (I even thought I posted in the thread with that same example, am I mad?)

Also, a 90s style metalcore band covering "Eye of the Beholder" would be pretty sick, what with the heavy groove and those lyrics.

Firewater covered "Hey Bulldog", and I think they could do something interesting with "A Day in the Life".

Seriously though, am I crazy, or did this not exist? Just move the post there if so, I couldn't find it.

I would have seriously loved to hear The Doors do Satisfaction, Barenaked Ladies do Mr. Tambourine Man, or Simon and Garfunkel do Like a Rolling Stone.

I wish the Doors would have covered "Suzie Q" in much the same manner in which they covered "Gloria".

I think any pop punk band should do a cover of The Cars' "I Guess You're Just What I Needed". Some throaty, growly woah-ohs instead of synthesizers... It could happen. It would be great.

What if Morrissey covered "Just What I Needed"? He wouldn't have to change the lyrics, but the song would take on a completely different meaning just with the way he sings.

DEVO would pull an interesting cover of the song as well.

It is kind of a Morrissey-esque song... I bet he would do it great justice. They'd have to slow it down though and probably throw in some dramatic string arrangements to pull it all together.
