Still puzzled why anyone would mix up noise and metal, but I guess we'll never know what those people where thinking.
Too each their own I suppose.

Hmm fine.
Details: Obscure thrash or Gothic metal.

If no one mixed up noise and metal there'd be no noise metal

I wonder if you could recommend me an album without me mentioning who or what. I'm just curious if you know where my taste lie - from the stuff I would play in plug/dub. I usually use Spotify or YouTube.

Dev/Null - Lazer Thrash

Starts out slow, with a Hip-Hop beat and some scratches. You just know it wants to lull you into a false sense of security.
It then turns into a breakcore beat, but still not quite the madness I was looking for. Still madness, though..
As the track progresses the beat gets wilder and wilder, some vocal samples and scratches emerging here and there.
Still not quite what I was looking for, but fun stuff.
The second track also starts with some standard samples and I'm beginning to slightly doubt this record...

And then it gets really damn chaotic and all over the place and a ****-yeah-smile appears on my face.
And that smile doesn't go away for the rest of the album. One of the most insane breakcore records I've heard.
It might not reach the realm of cold, mathematical chaos Xanopticon's Liminal Space inhabits, but it's at times even crazier in its own way,
and also more fun and varied.

Thanks Goofle! Great recommendation!

4.8/5

Yeah I knew it wasn't exactly what you were looking for, but I'd also not heard anything quite like that Xanopticon album before. So I went with the closest I could find. Glad you liked it

I'll take a rec. You know me, give me something wild (if not you can always check my last.fm).
