I've been a fan of theirs on Facebook for quite some time, so from time to time, I message them, they respond. The last time I messaged them I told them they should come to Seattle and they said they weren't looking to do that such thing, and when they released the teaser, I mentioned that it's a grower for sure, and they said to look forward to it. So i've got faith that i'll enjoy it. They've never disappointed.

Word. I thought maybe you did something social for once and went to a show and had a conversation with them like normal people.

They've never come to this country, but i'll be damned if I don't get a picture with them if they ever do decide to come over here. It's on my bucket list.

Ahhh. I wasn't aware of their status as European ass munchers.

I imagine it's due to funding. They just got signed to a new record company when they announced their new album, so hopefully in the near future, it'll mean cross country touring. There one of those bands that release solid material, but don't have the funding to tour regularly, which is a shame.

Visas for musicians are apparently a massive pain in the ass too, according to Dave Thomas of Pere Ubu.

That's a shame. Though not too surprising. I suppose they'd also have to consider if flying to another country is worth it for a musician, especially if the musician isn't too well known in most of the states here, at least. Though, I imagine they'd be welcome with open arms.

Darkthrone To Release 'Arctic Thunder' Album In October - Blabbermouth.net

wo-ho-ho-oah, looking pretty grim compared to their last, which I still think was sick. The color in the logo is kinda weird but cool I guess.
