I really should add that to my list. I enjoyed both albums about the same.

This was actually my first album for them that I listened too. Something about the vocals just stayed with me.

I didn't embellish my original statement to protect the feelings of every little pretty princess that could be butthurt, but The Identity Matrix got it and he saw me posting for the first time like two days ago. What does that say about the rest of you?
So you don't respect people putting a good album at number one because they don't like it for the right reason? Oh, that's still stupid as ****.

I completely got why you said that. You think people are liking it just to join a trend. Ever think it's actually that it's a trend because people actually like it? I'm not butt hurt or offended, I'm just stating the fact that your criteria for a respectable list is stupid. It runs on hipster logic and hipster logic is very illogical. Don't have to sugar coat your statement, just like I won't sugar coat the fact that your statement is stupid. Plus, you did sugar coat your original statement. You originally said that you couldn't take a list seriously that puts Kendrick at #1 now you're claiming that you question a list that puts Kendrick at #1. Now if it offends you that I can tear apart your horrible logic, that 's on you. BTW, if you didn't know by now I can be really really petty about arguments. But when I know I'm right... and it makes for good conversation.

Wait people are still arguing about this. For ****'s sake, just talk about the top albums of 2015 again. I came here to grow my listening list not banter about this stupid pointless argument about putting an album at number one for the sake of popularity. Get over it already.

The fact he even made the response above shows he didn't really read my initial post. Every little thing needs to be spelled out because they don't think about anything contextually. TBAP's nearly complete dominance on most of the major lists I've seen this year says way more to me about marketing and how the the music being marketed plays into a political climate than it does about the actual musical interests of the person listing it. There are some other points I had to elaborate on this (since I study a lot of this stuff in detail due to my educational background), but I know when I'm wasting my breath.

On another note, going back over your list Identity...I actually find it interesting that The Color Before The Sun is there. It's the poster child for a "mixed reception" this year, but I actually enjoyed it more than the last few outings from Claudio and co.

Oh you are talking about my honorable mentions list.

I won't go into too much detail because I am going to review that album in my journal. All I will say is that I found myself disagreeing with a ton of reviews for that record. Like I never let reviews influence my opinion on an album after I already have listened to it so I just saw the 5s 6s and 7s having dumb reasons for hating on the record. Thus I felt that the majority of the mixed reception for the album was kinda silly.

I sorta walked into that one. I understand that this kinda thing happens. I've been reading it for a while on here. I probably assumed that this petty argument would get resolved rather quickly. Oh well I'm prepared for next time.

Another honorable mention that actually came out last week.

https://totom.bandcamp.com/album/kanye-of-the-stone-age

This mashup record is probably one of the best I have ever heard. Easily a standout for this year.

Just because you point your debate with me towards somebody else doesn't mean you're not debating still. Just means that you're trying to create a facade. I mean, does he really give a **** about your rebuttal? No. So if you don't want to argue then, uh, don't argue. Also, everything you said is exactly what I said you were doing. Dismissing the opinion because you think it's a trend. Also your sad attempt at ethos does not validate your ****ty logic or your opinions. Even with your educational background you're logic is still ****ty. I already know I'm wasting my breath. You have already back tracked and lied, but I'm still willing to do it. When I smell **** I point it out, it's my character flaw.

Matrix, this argument has nothing to do with you. So don't whine about bickering when you were the one who jumped in. To me, the argument is not pointless. The point I want to reach is where he realizes his flawed and bigoted logic then grow from it. The best thing to avoid the argument is to actually avoid the argument. Otherwise you're wearing the same shoes me.

Trollheart, in defense of Yorke the two times I've seen him get into arguments is not over opinions, it's over people disrespecting his opinions. The messed up part is that Frownland, the moderator, is always there to intentionally instigate.
