I'll check that dictionary, but in the meantime I'm impressed - as is everyone else in the world - by your eloquence, obvious accomplishments and success, and the evidence of your blazingly high intelligence.

He really was a master troll.

Chances are if you like any alternative music from the 90's Jad Fair's influence is there though

Like SY worshipped him
I've not heard a ton of Jad Fair, but based on what I've heard, I'm glad SY's worship didn't emerge in an identifiable musical influence. Maybe I just haven't heard the right Jad Fair though.

Ah--can't believe I never heard them before (well, or at least I don't recall hearing them).

I don't like everything I'm checking out, but some of it is far more interesting and enjoyable than the other Jad Fair I've heard, and I can hear some influence on SY there, including stuff like the tuning on songs like "Firecracker."

I like Fair and what I'm hearing of Half Japanese a lot less when they're doing stuff that's a lot more conventional, though--like "This Could Be the Night," for example.

The worst thing is I almost started liking this abomination after hearing it so many times over the years. It's pretty mesmerizing.
