Nah, the musicianship is pretty tight.
And MES is the worst singer in the world, sure, but exactly that makes him the best.
Not in a so bad it's good sense, more in a being punk and not giving a **** and doing your own cool, raw thing way.

Even I wouldn't call him the worst singer in the world, but I'm not feeling his delivery at all.

With the post you quoted, I was definitely not suggesting that it's all about "technical" ability. I'm not one of those guys. If I was, I wouldn't think Dream Theater is crap, but I do.
