Lucem, you're right, it's silly to talk about what I would or wouldn't do IRL. Glad you brought it up. Maybe you should write an instrumental about it. I recommend a piano paired with a clarinet. With ambient sounds of you hanging from your shower curtain you ****ing failure.

In my case it's probably better described as sometimes idiotic degrees of analysis paralysis. Although I'm getting better at overriding it and just doing whatever is nearest or something.

Many years back, I would just listen to the discographies of a handful favourite bands again and again, with a few one off albums mixed in. Then sometimes, there would be a new album from those favourite bands, of course, but I wasn't exactly spreading my wings.

I gotta say I enjoy this feedback loop I've been experiencing.

Opening my mind to new sounds > listening to more different music and more new music > further more appreciative and open minded about different sounds > repeat.

My listening habits are noticeably more open than just 2 years ago. I also just somehow find myself less critical of music these days. This year, it's been really, really easy to find an overwhelming load of awesome albums.

I've found a lot of new and refreshing music on this forum and 9 times out of 10 it's Frownland posting something that's awesome.

Edit: I don't know if I could ever keep up with his pace of finding new ****.
