Jk, since you mentioned that you liked Black Sabbath's Master of Reality (If I'm not mistaken), maybe you'd like more 70's metal. Try some May Blitz:

I did really like this aesthetically

good guitar tone, good adrenaline pumping rhythm section, vocals are not offensive

but I'd prefer more adventurousness

Honestly trying to post something you might not aggressively hate.
really liked this instrumentally

I'm always a sucker for the effect where a very simple hypnotic line is played and then some other more exp instrumentation cuts in an out sporadically

the vocalist I could take or leave so if that's the actual focus of the record I have to apologize

^^For adventurous you need to listen to the whole album, they go from heavy metal, space rock, funk, and psych folk throughout the whole album:

elements of it are things I enjoy, but as a whole I found myself saying, 5 minutes? I don't know man.

If this was too slick, you should check out their older stuff.

Her albums generally play a lot with sounds and atmosphere. I don't feel like they depend on her (actually somewhat shaky) singing. I feel like her singing is more a part of the atmosphere, especially on those early albums. A couple of her last albums are a bit more of an electronica thing.

Easily a top 10 singer for me. Probably high up on that list.
And better yet, the music sounds great too.
