Cause a lot of late 90's and early 00's screamo has a lot of interesting elements in their music that differentiate them from the genres that came before them. These bands include Saetia, Off Minor, Hot Cross, Envy, Heroin and Honeywell. These are screamo bands that take a lot of influence from post hardcore, post-rock and math rock as well. I'm not a fan of the more poppy, metalcore-ish ones like Asking Alexandria and their ilk. It's not just the screaming I like.

And also Darby Crash's voice is annoying beyond belief. Music is good, he isn't.
