Damn, the state of pop punk is really turning me around on the genre. Check out the new album from PUP, it slaps.

Two fantastic albums that'll likely be on my end of the year thread. Hypnotic Nausea have just such a great sense of atmosphere as far as stoner-doom goes (and great vocals at times too), and Queensryche just knocked it out of the park this year with The Verdict. Maybe their best metal-oriented album since Operation: Mindcrime.
