Giving it to Angie, a bit unfairly, as Wild Horses seemed to give the green light to a thousand half-assed country acts.

Are you taking the piss out of Gram Parsons? Guess what? Tom Waits' music sucks ass.

I can't say I prefer one over the other. It's a tie for me.

So if you were at the track you would bet Angie and Wild Horses in a perfecta box?

Angie. Beautiful guitar intro, almost a slow flamenco feel, and lovely chord progression. I like the studio version best, but Mick Taylor did some exquisite live solos on this. This is the song that once inspired me to buy a used '62 Gibson Hummingbird and play it with a Nashville stringing/tuning. Easiest guitar with the most forgiving action I've ever played.

Wild Horses by a country mile. The song has some depth to it. Angie is a vapid pop song that cold have been done by anyone.

Wild Horses. Easily.

It's like asking what Fall song is better, Mr. Pharmacist or Hexen Def. Strife Knot.
