List your favorite online music related resources here. Discographies, magazines, guides, e-stores, etc. The more the merrier.

My fave www.secondhandsongs.com - a huge comprehensive database of cover songs. Its great when you know who covered the song but, need to know who wrote the original, or how many times a song has been covered & who by. It also includes songs that have been sampled.

i usually end up checking out label sites like:
www.alternativetentacles.com
www.havocrex.com
www.cahrecords.com
www.profaneexistence.com

www.aversionline.com is a good online zine

www.contempl8.net good place to get political shirts/stickers/etc..

www.crimethinc.com - good source for "revolutionary" news

when i cant think of the name of a band, but know the song, or just want to check out some unknowns ill try www.interpunk.com

and of course myspace is a good way to find local bands, i especially like the way you can search by band name, genre, country, state, etc.

Both world music and New Jazz are slowly beginning to dominate the whole hippie/jam band scene so a place to go for that would be www.relix.com. sure there's more than a handful of jam bands, but you might be surprised by what you find.

Also, maybe a good hip hop website that does decent album reviews, and maybe an indie review site that isn't full of reject third-tier journalism majors who like trends. :)
I might check out www.yellowratbastard.com Iv'e always found great indie/hip-hop reviews in their magazine.

Anyone interested in progressive rock needs to check this out.

This site covers a lot of obscure, talented band's from around the world who need to be heard...It also offers free(and legal)mp3's.
