Default When you're not listening to emo, you're listening to...

Besides the emo genre, what do you listen to that you absolutely love? Rap, indie, "nu-emo?">?. I've come up with a list of bands that aren't emo, but they're definitely worth checking out. Though they may not have the usual screaming, I guarantee you'll enjoy these bands and their mp3s.

Chin up Chin up (Indie band)

Maritime (Pop rock)

Braid (Indie Rock)

Matt Pond PA (Lovely acoustic band with violins)
http://www.polyvinylrecords.com/media/prc-052-01.mp3

Rainer Maria (Indie Rock, female lead singer)
http://www.polyvinylrecords.com/media/prc-057-04.mp3

Cap'n Jazz (90s Chicago Indie punk)
http://www.jadetree.com/mp3/Cap_n_Ja...tle_League.mp3

Bats and Mice (Indie?)
http://mp301.epitonic.com/streamed/f...ce-Hallway.mp3

The Promise Ring (Pop Rock)
http://mp301.epitonic.com/streamed/f...Blue_Jeans.mp3

If you like some of these bands PM, and I can give you more of their songs.

Does anyone else have some MP3s to some bands they think are worth mentioning?

^ Cap'n Jazz, The Promise Ring, Braid, and Matt Pond PA are pretty good. I haven't listen to the others, I'll download the mp3s (thanks). I'll post some mp3s later, I'm too lazy right now.

I'm not a huge emo fan but:

Between The Buried And Me (chaotic metal/hardcore)

Light This City (very solid metal)

Aiden (pop punk in the vein of MCR, what can i say, they're catchy)

Damien Rice (acoustic crooner)

The Mars Volta (if don't know them than get a life)

The Black Dahlia Murder (deathmetal/deathmetal/deathmetal)'

a nice mix

yeah, the singer (drummer) duct tapes a phone reciever/mic to his face. he sometimes wears a mask for it.
