I would argue that only the ST and maybe Demon Days could qualify as trip hop.

There are some good recs in here, a few I'd never heard of. I won't rehash the DJ Shadow and Massive Attack recs, though I do like both of them.

Some stuff that hasn't been mentioned in this thread or wasn't acknowledged if it was:

Blue Sky Black Death released a new album this year called NOIR that shot straight up to my favorite trip hop album of all time, topping their last full on trip hop album (Late Night Cinema) which was near perfect to begin with.

In a similar vein, The New Law - High Noon. Definitely an album that requires a full listen all the way through.

Emancipator was mentioned, but someone disagreed that he was trip hop. I definitely think he fits in the genre, and he makes amazing music imo.

Emancipator also made some beats for a Seattle rapper named Sadistik--it's a producer/rapper combo that fits perfectly.

Thievery Corporation released a new album recently called Culture of Fear that I think is really great.

Laika's album Sounds of the Satellites is a neat downtempo/trip hop mix

I really like the sadistik track but the first two are general ambient to me and the others I know about.

Great post though and nice to see some new faces in here!

I'm not sure what you define ambience by, but I typically don't associate it with having a beat the way BSBD and The New Law have, and that's the first time I've ever heard either of them tagged as ambient. I guess genres can be subjective too though, and it doesn't matter much anyways as long as you know your own taste.

I know these may seem a little out of place, but the Silent Hill 2 & 3 soundtracks have a pretty decent trip hop selection. The albums don't really work as individual tracks, but as whole collections, but they're still definitely worth checking out.

Major props to Akira Yamoka making some really great music for the games. Although, I think a few tracks can definitely work individually.
