I am sorry, but I do not see how people can like this band. If anyone can explain the appeal...

well I listened to the new album like five time now,and well it's definitely not as good as their previous.it's more pop and it is very easy to listen to.I'm not really disappointed.it isn't really that bad

Default Keane

I Enjoy Keane Alot But At The Same Time I Agree with Previous Post Of How They Are Very Predictable. This Is The Reason That I Cant Really Place Them As One Of My Favorite Bands...There New Cd Is Enjoyable, Yes a Bit More Popish But Good To Say The Least.

They're boring for me, but they're talented. and in no way do I consider them to be indie. When I hear a band played in a department store, I think that band has lost all chance of being considered indie.

Ignore I said that, though. I don't want to be "that guy" who starts a debate on genre.

I'm going to go track down the new album and see if they can change my mind on whether or not they're boring.

You're right, they're not particularly indie, much more pop, but I felt that they don't really share the same audience as Britney Spears....so...

I don't think Britney Spears's fans are a fair point of reference for all pop acts...

It was a refference to the kind of pop acts that usually inhabit the pop forum. I'm assuming your complaint was based on the fact that the thread is located in the indie/alternative forum (no one has actually said they were indie). I was trying to explain why I opened the thread here, instead of in the pop forum. And I think we've both spent more energy than this line of discussion deserves...
