I recently passed my driving test and have been scouring through charity shops to find decent CDs. I found Boys Don't Cry for about 2 quid and listened to it fully on my way home from college this afternoon, and I absolutely loved it. It's the only Cure album I've listened to in full so far so would appreciate more recommendations !!

You really can't go wrong with any of the first four Cure albums. I know the first Cure album, as initally released in the UK, was titled Three Imaginary Boys. The US release was titled Boys Don't Cry and subsituted some tracks from singles in place of some of the tracks on the UK release. In any event, you can't go wrong IMO with any of the three albums that followed: Seventeen Seconds, Faith, and Pornography. After that, the quality was spotty and I didn't follow them as closely. I'm sure other board members can give recommendations on their later stuff. |
