That Win Butler just won't shut up about 'the kids'

hehehehe... the parallel between my life and some of Win Butler's lyrics is sometimes too scary to contemplate...

The Suburbs is flawless too me. It just doesn't give the feel Funeral gave me.

Well, it's a totally different subject matter, different musical direction, etc, so I wouldn't be looking for it to give me the same feeling as Funeral... if I wanted that feeling I'd listen to... Funeral... I think it's time we accept and start listening to the Suburbs for what it is and quit looking for it to be Funeral Part III, because it's not and I love it because of that fact!

Considering they went from bombastic experimental takes on stadium rock to 3-4 minute pop songs it'd be odd if it did.The Suburbs is excellent.

It doesn't need to be a Funeral #2/3 for me. Just meant that Funeral stays my favourite. :P Doesn't change the fact that I'm in love with The Suburbs though.

Anyone see the "video" for We used to wait? Unfortunately, there are no street views for my neck of the woods, but it's still an insanely original idea. I wonder what kind of impact it would have for someone to see their actual neighborhoods in it...

Check it out here The Wilderness Downtown

You'll probly have to install google chrome, firefox can't run it.
