Default Kaki King

I'm actually very suprised that their isn't a thread on her already, but yeah, i'm making one. She is argueably one of the best guitarists making music today and the fact that she is a 4'8" female makes it all the more impressive. She comes from a family that is deep with musical talent and she is no exception. She has released three albums: Every Body Loves You, Legs To Make Us Longer and Until We Felt Red. All of which received amazing reviews. She is best known for her amazing tapping abilities and unmatched slapping skills.

Check out her myspace www.myspace.com/kakiking
And if anyone can up an album of hers I would appreciate it greatly.

I've heard a couple songs before and they were really good.

Kaki King is great.

Personal favorite album - "Everybody Loves You"
Although I don't have it, I think it's one of the most technical albums of all time.

Many people may not know it, but Kaki was responsible for some of the great guitar playing in the movie "August Rush". Yeah, the movie may have been forgettable, but the guitar work was outstanding. I totally loved her first album, though it's mainly instrumental. The latest is really showing some promise, as she moves deeper into Indie Rock territory. Either way, she's a wonderful talent, and I will most definitely be seeing her, when she comes to (my) town in a couple of months....
