The last release I really liked was The Remainderer EP/min-album/whatever. I haven't bought it but eventually will I suppose.

I agree that through most of The Fall's history they will release something a fan will think is great, and then put out something the same fan will not relate to very well. That's why three albums in a row I don't like concerns me. It makes me think that maybe MES has lost if for good. I hope I'm wrong. I know that a lot of Fall albums are growers. When I first heard The Wonderful And Frightening World Of..., I thought "I spent money on this ****?". I seriously considered sailing it out of my second story window, Frisbee style. But it really grew on me and I now consider it one of their best. What concerns me about Ersatz GB and Re-Mit is how much repeated listenings didn't improve them, and I couldn't even be bothered with getting through all of Sublingual Tongue. So maybe MES and company are finished. I hope they prove me wrong.

It's pretty rare for artists at his age to continue to match their younger self so I'm always just pleasantly surprised when something post like 1995 is up to snuff

Wonderful Frightening is probably the first Fall album that really clicked with me in a big way

then Grotesque and Dragnet

then like 2 years in of listening I finally got into Hex Education and Nation's Saving Grace
