Their presence brighten each day a little and it's even good for your health. Pet rats are the perfect low-maintenance pets for us who have little space and don't have the time to walk dogs every day.

As for Fridtjof, we're just keeping him until he can fly. Then we'll try and find an area where he can hopefully make a home for himself. We've been taking him out for fly-training and he's not quite there yet, but he's pretty good with slowed, controlled falling.
I hear you...I love animals too though unfortunately I have quite a few pet allergies that keep me from interacting with them a whole lot. But we have 3 dogs and one cat and I love those animals to bits. I'm sorry to hear about Sam...but it looks like your new additions are pretty happy!

We've also had the chance to rehab a couple birds that my husband found. One was a grackle that we named Mr. G...he didn't make it unfortunately even though my father in law kept a constant watch on him and took care of him tirelessly. However, the baby mockingbird that we saved from a dog did very well and actually flew out of the house on his own one day when my father in law had accidentally kept the door open. I consider it a success story.

Tore- you have that classic Viking look about you which is damn cool. As a nation Britain has been so mercillesy plundered over the last 2000 years that I don't think there is a typical 'British' look which is kind of a shame. It's that thing of having a rough idea where people come from just by their looks.

I guess I am because that's the first thing that went through mine... the look of anticipation on the dude in the 2nd picture is priceless. It looked like the only thing he was thinking about was "I'll let her do a couple more then make my move"

One day, when you're leathery and old, you'll say "I should have listened to that 333 broad." Did I do a good old lady voice?
