I don't do it. I don't like posting pics of my family or friends on here so the ones I'm stuck with are the portrait style ones that my mum edits to death

Completely ridiculous, Vanilla! I dated a Turkish man (though not Muslim), and all was great for the first year. Then I started to feel more and more as if he disapproved of me. He'd say (knowing I walked places at night), "If a woman walks at night and gets raped, then it's her fault," for example. Your ex sounds extremely overbearing. And I agree make-up can accentuate features, not really hide them. Except for zits. It hides those!

My cheekbones are definitely getting more pronounced with age. When I'm 80, I'll probably look like Edvard Munch's "The Scream."

I know, I know! Sometimes I warn people sitting next to me, if they notice something crawling around their neck, just to hold still while I unwrap my hair from its stranglehold on their jugulars.
