The new lead vocalist just isn't as good as Adam Gontier in my opinion.

I agree with that but like idk I still like them as a band. I'm not going to get rid of liking them as a band because of the lead singer.

I mean, I did that with Nightwish when they switched lead singers but for the most part. Changing lead singers doesn't make me hate a band that I once loved.

A difference in lead singers usually wouldn't turn me away. But with Three Days Grace, the guitar riffs were a bit lackluster. And the vocals being as bad as they were was a turn off. I will probably give a listen to them when the next album comes out, but so far I'm unimpressed.

But Saint Ansonia is pretty good. It sounds just like old Three Days Grace.

Didn't know about that group and it has an ex-drummer from Finger Eleven. Interesting. Getting it soon-ish.

Also you are right, the rest of the group isn't anything special to write home about.

Or I could listen to the good ones as well as the new stuff because I actually like some of the songs from their newer material.

yeah it was and you know what? Their 2015 album is with the new guy and I haven't really listened to that album besides the single Painkiller. I downloaded it a few days ago but didn't get around to it yet. Also by reading a little blurb of a review, this album was darker and more about loss and their personal struggle around substance issues along with personal stuff in their life.

If anything that sounds like they have upheld the legacy that you treasure so much.
