Clik was HORRIBLE, though.

High Havoc was a very clever concept album.

I've heard that they are but I'm always unsure about genres since they always seem to depend on the person.

interesting bit about wes montgomery.. ive never heard of acid jazz in those terms.
i would say that the furthest i have delved into acid jazz is thievery corporation, although i feel as though they fall under several categories. i'd love to hear of anyone's favorites, though.

when did trip hop get renamed to acid jazz?

if you're going to stick with the electronic side of things at least stick with bands that have some basis in actual jazz. like maybe - jaga jazzist / koop / the cinematic orchestra / xploding plastix / squarepusher / amon tobin.

zero 7 is awesome and all but they've got about as much to do with jazz as black sabbath.
