Sun Ra - Ra to the Rescue (2022)

A re-release of this album which was first released in 1983. This new version features different cover art and some extra tracks.

When I was first exposed to Coleman's 'Something Else' in my mid teens I got nothing out of it being at the time a classical only snob.
Some of the drum playing still loses me at times though.

Hey, it's The Duke! Too bad he never did anything as great after playing with Zappa

He's great, though.

[QUOTE=mycatisthebest;2208424]I'm always listening to a lot of music, but lately, these are some of the albums I keep returning to. The best thing is that they are all available on Bandcamp, which is fantastic for supporting artists.

Gilad Hekselman - Far Star

First track on your first recommendation had me puzzled. I felt as if the drummer, bassist etc were out of time with each other. I’ll give it a few more listens and see if somehow I can get in tune with it.

Yes, sometimes it's a bit tricky to listen to this kind of music at first, but super fun.

KALI Trio
Loom

Fantasic post-minimalism jazz. Very Portico Quartet-like.

If the Hawk still watches...he should check this out.
