When I was a kid I ordered a free album from Guitar Player magazine. Didn't know a single artist on the record. Joe Pass? Charlie Byrd? Barney Kessell?

Took one spin once it arrived and I didn't touch my guitar for weeks after.

This takes a bit to get going.

Awesome. That's the reason I made the initial post. Squirrel Nut Zippers and The Cherry Poppin' Daddies are cool but they're not original Swing, and that's what I wanted to get from this thread. Thank you

Here's another band I like.

Ok, this is a great song and video. It features Danny Elfman from Oingo Boingo fame, and there is some nudity in it, so if I've broken any rules, please kill me, for I meant no harm, please enjoy

^^^ this may have been less unsettling had they forgone that video altogether and instead, directly filmed Frankie literally turning in his grave.

Nice video to boot... reminds me of my Texas Holdem days (except with better music... Some jack@$$ always kept "Brick House" in constant jukebox rotation, probably to put everyone with ears in a constant state of TILT!!)
