no, but you're a very small country and i would imagine you don't have many production companies that could set aside some 300 million dollars for the making of one film....i could be wrong though...

That wasn't what I was getting at. I just get annoyed when people automatically assume because NZ is a small country we're incapable of anything except sheep farming.

off the top of my head, a list of movies that are far better: matrix ( part one mind you ) ( USA )
Best ****ing movie ever and nothing will ever beat it.

LOTR thrilogy (USA)
Long boring pieces of crap that ****ed up the books for me and it's for 40 year old geeks/nerds and *** couples.

If I want to read tiny font for two hours I'll read a book thanks. But it's a nice fictional story though! lol. Why isn't the bible in the fictional section of any store? Someone please explain why I got in trouble for moving it there.

no, no, no.

You and your foreign movies, I haven't seen this one, but I'm going by the title and guessing it's crap. And I'll skip the next load of foriegn crap too.

I'm half italian and I vomited in disgust at the end.

More like "****back mountain!" ohhhhh yeah, pwned.

I thought it was okay but I watched the ****ty subtitled version (there's a dubbed version isn't there?).

Almost fell asleep. Did Quentin even do anything in it?

Too dark. And I like seeing babies murdered more than anyone but whatever.

Yeah, not bad. I've seen it twice and don't plan on seeing it again.

the eternal sunshine of the spotless mind(USA)
The idea was okay, but the execution was pitiful. I can't believe the screenplay earned an academy award (even though they're almost meaningless and it was up against no competition). I like Kaufman but man did it suck...were we even meant to give a **** about the main characters? Jesus, and I love Carey too. I walked out of that pissed off.
Quote:
being john malkovich(USA)
Displays Kaufman's genius but probably a little too weird for me. I like weird **** but this felt like it was weird for the sake of being weird.

Quote:
adaptation(USA)
Wow you love Kaufman! This movie was pretty awesome, but don't think it's worthy to be purchased.

.....and so on....
Did you forget to like name...I dunno, ultimate movies? Where the **** is Shawshank Redemption? And A Beautiful Mind?

Along with Matrix they make up the tri-force of ultimate movies lol.

The Matrix is so overrated. The first one is the best but even that isn't that cool anymore. The first one has the most comprehensive storyline of the three. The second one has bugger all storyline but the best fight scene. The third one is just boring, way too farfetched, and definitely has the worst of endings. Though it does score points for the bit where the millions of matrix machines swarm that base.

I don't get the fuss with it basically. They have the coolest fight-style concept EVER and then go way to much into the actual concept of the story.

In other news, has anyone seen Ong Bak? Crap storyline but for someone who coreographs his own fight stunts, with no stunt doubles, and no special effects when fighting, he is pretty damn amazing. The best thing since Bruce Lee.
