This isn't my art, but one of my number one inspirations. Takato Yamamoto. Blends beauty with the grotesque SO seamlessly, and without being loud about it.

This, however, is my art - and my very pathetic attempt to mirror his style. I need to get better markers because I only have primary colors right now, and it completely stripped away a lot of the detail work I had here. You can't even see it.
Surprisingly though this is the one piece on my Redbubble store that has ever made a sale lol. I disagree and think I have much better artwork.

I think you did a great job attempting that style. A lot of times it's the tools used that help create the finished result. I wouldn't attempt playing Vai without a good tremolo kinda thing.

True words. Definitely saw a difference when I switched from ballpoint pens to microns too. And when you see improvement, it drives even further improvement.

Nicely done Carpe. I wish I had some creative skills. My sister got them all. She was great at doing my art homework in school. I helped her with math. That was some good sibling teamwork.

Lol that's a pretty good system to have. My brother and I were in multiple classes together and always competing.

Competing eh? There was no competition between the two of us, at least not at school. She was all about the visual arts. I still can't draw a straight line, but I was good with most of the other school subjects.

My brother and I are too similar. We're only one year apart, we were both in the top percentile academically, and we both have an interest in the arts. It's funny because when we were younger he was stronger in math, and I was stronger in English. Now, as adults, his career is very English/speech driven and mine is very Math/logics driven. Maybe that competition drove us to excel in our weaknesses.
