It's funny how you mention Galveston is a horrible dirty place or whatever. My mom's friend just moved there from Houston and she loves it. Apparently she was looking at properties there for a few years, and she found one that overlooked the water so she bought it. It sounds as though you would have advised her to stay in Houston

WTF dude I've been to Galveston, I have some relatives that live there. It's not bad at all.

I thought it was a really nice city actually, I liked the beach a lot and there were a lot of really nice houses.

It's a joke. I've lived on nice beaches before. Galveston is only nice if you've lived in Houston your entire life or have never been to a half way decent beach. Everybody who has moved here from out of state knows it.

This woman is originally from Corpus Christi, but I don't know how that compares to Galveston.

I was raised in Houston but I'm spoiled from my family on my mother's side coming from St. Thomas. Caribbean beaches trumps all US beaches. I will never go into a US beach.

The pacific is pretty nice, and there are some gorgeous parts of the Atlantic. But I can understand, the Caribbean would pretty much ruin every other beach in existence.

I actually like Corpus Christi a lot better. Same generally region but much cleaner, less industry. Still a gulf-coast beach though. I can't stand the gulf.
