Default grammer Nazi'ss

Dun dun dun....

Okay, so do you every want to tell someone on here how awful their posts are in terms of spelling/grammar/captials? It takes me a bit of energy to hold back because otherwise you always end up being called a grammar nazi. Now I am by no means a perfect writer and can make mistakes, but having text like this is just ridiculous:

"hi i am m0nica2143125 and i like music and my fav bands is good charlotte "

Do you suffer the same irritations?

I know exactly what you mean, there's a fine line between a typo and cumbersome, childish internet jargon. If someone is going to participate in a forum of any kind, one assumes that they (for the most part) put a little thought behind their posts. Part of that thought process includes correct grammar, and with the internet at their fingertips...there's really no excuse to have excessive grammatical errors. In the end, they just detract from the original post.

I like the the ironic misuse of the apostrophe in this thread title.

That sentence has more bad grammar than I can take at 9:00 AM.

Yes, bad grammar bothers me to no end. I always get the urge to edit the person's post

Edit: I love the title of this thread, "Grammar Nazi's". What would make it even better is if you did this: Grammer Nazi's.

I get the urge so, so much. I'm rubbish at being assetive and confrontational though, so I hold back to avoid making a fool of myself.

I see grammatical errors like Tom Hanks sees clues in the Da Vinci Code.

basically

I can't stand them when I see them in books, same with spelling errors. I was re-reading the Informers yesterday and "absoloutely"

Do you not have editors for these kinds of things

This gives me the shits. Our local newspaper is awful for common errors and every week I go through and underline errors in what I'm reading.

I've genuinely considered changing my username to Pedantic Bastard.
