Default I can't find a good melody or lyrics for my songs

Not sure if this belongs here, but when I'm trying to make my own music I feel like I can't get a good melody for the song (I'm making mostly instrumental stuff because I'm not good at singing). I do have one almost done song that's lacking a guitar solo and lyrics (making the lyrics is difficult too... Or maybe I should add some kind of melody to it... I don't know yet ^_^'). I think you guys can give me some tips. Any tips will be fine.

It would be almost impossible to give you any tips/advise on your song without seeing which direction your heading. Is it Boroque/Chamber music? Bubble Gum Pop? Travis Pickin? What?

Is it in the key of Z?

That is a really general question.
I mean the first tip i can give you regarding lyrics or whatever is to listen to music and read poetry.
Personally, I'm most inspired after I read poetry and can write it better that way.

I'd add on that finding the rythym of the song is crucial helps to fit the words into context with regard to the song. I used to just hum along and find points for breaks in the song to begin with. After doing that and establishing the melody by matching the pitch of the base note, move along to something you've wrote and work it in time measure wise. Good luck.

Theres a website called MyOnlineBand.com that you can post whatever you have so far and audition people to put additional parts to the song be it vocals or other instruments. Might be worth a shot to see what comes out of it.

It seems to be quite a busy site as well.

What do you mean with "Key of Z"?

I will upload the song that I'm working on to youtube when I get back home later today (if I remember) so you can tell me what you think of it and what you liked/disliked about it.

Since I can't post links yet, I can't provide a link straigth to my youtube channel so I just put the username here later when I have uploaded the song. You can also listen to my remixes at my old channel, if you want to listen some stuff that I already have made (I'm not yet sure if I use the new channel just for uploading my own music or if I entirely move my activity there). Here is the username for my old channel: 54747908563

EDIT: Here is link for the song. Just add this to the end of youtube.com/

Leave the feedback to the comments of the video if possible

It was a joke.

Now that I've heard your tune, and have a better understanding of the direction you're going (techno), I can tell you my thoughts on it. It sounds a bit generic, with the sampled drums, and buzzsaw main riffing. Experiment a bit with widening (pan hard left/right) the main instrument. That would give it a fuller sound. As far as adding guitar to it, maybe intertwine a main lick at intervals with some shredding in between. Dunno. Just a thought.

Actually I would say that this is more like metal. The "buzzsaw thing" actually is a synth guitar. But I guess it can be techno/metal (I have listened Yousei Teikoku's songs a lot lately and they play Techno/Goth Metal. Maybe I have gotten influences from her music even tough her music is a lot better than mine). Also, what do you mean with "maybe intertwine a main lick at intervals with some shredding in between". I didn't understand it since my english is not thag great.

Play a riff at one point in the song, then when the the main melody repeats, play the same riff, and repeat for every time the melody repeats, then pick a good point in the song for some fast melodic picking, staying within the chord structure.

With my limited knowledge, I really don't know any other way to explain it.

Well I do have in mind where I want to put it. Since I made this song so that it's possible to add singing to it, I planned what every pattern will be (verse, pre-chorus, chorus, solo etc.). I started doing some experimenting with the song to see if I can still improve it.
