I just find the idea of buying expensive gifts for family as a little...odd. Like "hey, i know we're family, but let me put a dollar value on it to prove it."

Christmas has always been a fairly big event for my family it's one of the few times my whole family gets together jokes around and just gets to be together (of course presents are cool too)
