Look at it this way... If the stuff you gave up was bad for you, then at least you've managed to kick the habit. If the stuff you gave up is stuff you feel is an integral part of who you are, then it's worth noting that anyone who asks you to change who you are for them probably isn't the right person for you.

Dear dear Sara. That's sad .
But you should remember that if someone doesn't want to be there with you to help you along getting your stuff sorted out, he or she won't be there whenever you're in trouble again. It's just not the way to do it. She either wants to be with you, or doesn't want to be with you. 'I like you but you have to change first', really means 'I just want your good sides'.
You're really worth more than that. I'd say you forget about that girl really quickly. Because you definitely weren't made for her .

Sara, please make sure that the next time some wants you for who you are, not for who she wants you to be.
