I'm not really stronger than anyone. I just saw how upset my mom was, even though she wasn't even the biggest fan of this cat when he was alive. She was freaking out, and I knew that if I lost it, she'd completely go off the deep end, possibly not even make it to work.

I cried in private, even though my body wanted to vomit and weep inconsolably. Zazzles, again, was my cat, loved me, and would follow me to my place and sleep in my bed. I'd hoped, more than anything, he'd just wandered off and found new people he dug, but he was so attached to me, that was honestly unrealistic. I cried over him a few times, but I told myself he was happy and with a new family.

He wasn't. He was just trapped under my pool liner, without having disturbed the liner itself. I don't even know how or why he got under there, but he was clearly frozen solid for several months.

I'm so sorry to hear about that. I think I remember seeing a picture of Zazzles holding the remote and I made a comment about how cute it was. Poor thing. You should get yourself another cat (when you've recovered/mourned enough), replace love with love.

In the meantime, here's a bear to hug you...

Oh Sarah, I'm so sorry to hear that. It's very hard to lose a beloved pet unexpectedly - I know what it's like. Very sad

Terribly sorry to hear about your cat especially in the situation that you did. I've lost 2 cats in my lifetime, and I currently still have 1, but it's never an easy thing to get used to, especially when they're a part of your every day life.

Poor little kitty.

Someday you'll rescue another one. I fully believe that the cats we lose always want us to rescue other cats, and show them what it's like to have a beautiful life full of love. It's terrible what happened to your baby. RIP little angel.

Hell yeah! 80 degrees today. I've got the afternoon to myself since Ki's at work but I'm getting the hell outside. This beautiful weather won't last!
